SBI Digital Markets and Ember Protocol Partner to Explore Institutional RWA Tokenization and Onchain Distribution on Arbitrum
Singapore, November 2, 2026 — SBI Digital Markets, a company of SBI Holdings, and Ember Protocol have partnered to explore how institutional real-world assets (RWAs) can be structured, tokenized and distributed onchain, starting with Arbitrum, the finance-native blockchain platform built by Offchain. The partnership is set out in a memorandum of understanding.
The collaboration combines SBI Digital Markets’ capabilities in asset origination, structuring, regulated financial services and institutional distribution with Ember’s infrastructure for tokenization, vault deployment and liquidity. Its focus extends across the product lifecycle: how assets are structured and issued, how investors subscribe and redeem, and how products access settlement, secondary markets and distribution across networks.
“Bringing institutional assets onchain calls for strong partners across financial services and digital asset infrastructure,” said Ibra Barbery, Co-Founder of Ember Protocol. “We’re excited to bring SBI Digital Markets’ institutional reach together with Ember’s onchain infrastructure and open the door to a new generation of tokenized investment products.”
As an initial focus, the parties intend to explore RWA products structured and distributed by SBI Digital Markets through Ember’s infrastructure. The RWA products are currently targeted for deployment on Arbitrum. Products deployed on Arbitrum launch into existing markets, with active capital and participants already operating at scale.
“Tokenization is opening new possibilities for how investment products are structured, issued and distributed,” said CK Ong, Acting Chief Executive Officer of SBI Digital Markets. “We have been looking for a DeFi-native partner that understands what it takes to bring real-world assets onchain in a way that considers not only distribution but asset suitability and investors’ risk. I am excited to work with Ember to explore how our capabilities in institutional financial services can support the next stage of digital capital markets in a responsible manner.”
Steven Goldfeder, Co-Founder and CEO of Offchain, said: “Institutions launching tokenized products want them to land in markets where capital and participants are already active. Arbitrum provides the infrastructure for tokenization and hosts one of the largest onchain financial ecosystems, so products launched here can reach that activity from day one. SBI Digital Markets offers institutional distribution and Ember the tools to structure and issue, giving these products a clear path to investors.”
