Winston Quek
Winston is a seasoned banking and capital markets professional with more than 30 years of experience and a proven track record in management in global financial markets and corporate banking covering the Asia Pacific region. He has a strong network of regional clients and a broad knowledge of how to help non-Asian clients get into the region and vice versa. Winston is experienced in direct oversight of the implementation, rebuilding and enhancement of policies in risk, compliance, operations for capital markets and corporate lending, as well as overall regional strategy and business development.
Danny Surtani
Danny brings more than 25 years of experience as a CFO and Finance Director in the financial services and banking industry. He was previously the Asia Pacific CFO for the Investment Bank at Deutsche Bank AG Singapore, where he was also responsible for delivery of the financial strategy. He has extensive experience in all aspects of Finance, including product control, legal entity control, management reporting, strategy, business performance assessment and reporting, planning, internal control oversight and cost management. He was in Japan with Deutsche Securities and Credit Suisse Financial Products prior to coming to Singapore. He had also worked at Ernst & Young in London, specialising in corporate finance due diligence and audit. Danny is a ICAEW UK Chartered Accountant.
Tom Menner
Tom brings over 35 years of experience in enterprise information technology to the role of CTO. Prior to joining SBI Digital Markets, he was the Head of Asia Pacific for IntellectEU, a global technology services firm focusing on blockchain, digital assets, confidential computing and artificial intelligence. He also previously served as Director of Solution Architecture in Asia Pacific for R3, a leading enterprise blockchain technology company. And he began his career with a long tenure at IBM, where first he worked primarily with banking and capital markets clients in New York City, and then as a Global Middleware Solution Architect, which included assignments in Japan and China. Tom is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy.
CK Ong
CK brings over 18 years of experience in leadership positions across operations, risk management and strategic projects spanning financial markets, transaction banking and digital assets. Prior to joining SBI Digital Markets, he helped build and execute United Overseas Bank’s Digital Assets strategy and set up a robust risk governance framework as Group Head, Risk and Controls for Wholesale & Markets Operations. CK has held various roles in operations, risk and strategic project management for Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore, South Korea and China. He led the set up of a cash equity and derivatives business in Korea and Taiwan, headed the equity product engineering team in China and created a business risk framework in transaction banking. CK holds a degree in Economics and International Studies from the University of Warwick and is a certified blockchain consultant.
David Vignola
David brings more than 20 years of experience as a lawyer and compliance officer – spanning private and regulatory practice, financial services, and technology. His expertise includes building international legal and compliance programmes in financial services, across anti-money laundering, suitability, structured products and cross-border sales of securities, plus management of audits and regulatory stakeholders. During David’s decade in Singapore, most recently as the APAC Head of Compliance for Nium, he also worked for Amazon and Standard Chartered Bank. Before that, he held various roles for Citi in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong, and was Global Chief Compliance Officer for S&P Global in New York. David holds a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law and a LL.M. in Securities & Financial Regulation from Georgetown University Law Center.

William Mak
William was the President and APAC CEO of Northern Trust before he retired in late 2021. His career began at the Monetary Authority of Singapore where he would spend 17 years in reserve and portfolio management. He later assumed regional leadership C suite positions at major US and European banks growing asset servicing and asset management businesses serving institutional clients, including sovereign wealth funds, central banks, pensions, insurance and investment management firms. Today William is also serving the investment committees of various charity organisations.
